Reader Uses Real Apple to Create MRI Image of Apple Logo

You’ve never seen an Apple logo quite like this before.

Brazilian physician Gabriel Camargo was eating an apple at work the other day when a thought struck him. Camargo works in cardiac imaging, and one of the MRI scanners nearby was idle. He placed the Apple in the machine and got the image you see above as a result. The bite is a bit off, but it’s still pretty eye-catching.

Camargo says he’s a big Apple fan — he owns an iPod, iPhone, iPad, and iMac — and since creating this image, he’s made it the background on each of those devices.

Not wanting to keep it to himself, he reached out to Wired so we could share it with anyone who might want to follow suit. Enjoy!
